Initiative for a critical academia was established in the summer of 2024 as a free association of academics, employees of universities and other educational and research institutions in the Czech Republic, who care about defending human rights and other universal values. The first step of the Initiative was the publication of the Initiative’s Statement for Critical Academia related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Our goal is to contribute to the discussion about the role of academia in other societal issues as well.
